Unicek Hope for Africa, in a bid to improve education and engage students in Nigeria, launched an innovative initiative that combines fun and learning, in partnership with NiCok Integrated Solutions and Nicholas & Dr. Ihunia Health and Hope Charity foundation. This program focuses on sponsoring IQ-stimulating games like Scrabble and Chess to schools across the region, and not just that but providing cash awards to participating students and schools to support their educational journey.

Education is the backbone of any society, and Nigeria is no exception. However, many students in the region face significant challenges in accessing quality education. Unicek Hope for Africa aims to bridge this gap by providing a unique and engaging way to learn and develop essential skills.

This initiative is designed to;

1. Promote critical thinking, through games like Chess and Scrabble enabling students develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
2. Enhance cognitive abilities: These games improve memory, concentration, and spatial awareness, setting students up for academic success.
3. Foster healthy competition: By encouraging competition among students, we promote a growth mindset and a love for learning.
4. Provide financial support: Cash awards will be handed out to participating students and schools to support their educational needs.

This Initiative involved

1. School Selection: various schools where visited by our members to introduce the initiative and as well get feedback of their participation. Schools with a positive feedback where given a task to assign to their student. The task was for the student to make chess and scrabble boards with local materials. Funds were also given to each school to assist the students in making these boards.

2. Game board distribution: After the presentation of the locally made boards by the schools, some schools where selected to enter into the tournament “Nicok Fun Challenge Inter-School Scrabble and Chess Competition”. The selected schools were given Scrabble and Chess sets to enable students have proper preparation ahead of the tournament.

3. Tournaments and competitions: The tournament is meant to encourage students, participate and showcase their skills. The tournament is to begin on the 19^th of September 2025 and to run through each Friday until its grand finale on November 29 2025 when winners will be appropriately awarded with various cash prices.
